Pearse Elliott’s ‘The Mighty Celt’ starring Robert Carlyle (Angelas Ashes, Trainspotting) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) was nominated for The Crystal Bear Award in the Kinderfilmfest Programme. Although it didn’t pick up any awards producer Paddy McDonald at Treasure Films gave IFTN a very positive report from the festival which most importantly resulted in an Irish/UK distribution deal with Metrodome.

“The Berlin Festival was very positive from our point of view. The good news for us was that Metrodome has picked up the film for the UK and Ireland which was great. We are now looking at a good release in cinemas in October.”
