A 'mighty' time in town

It's good to see a woman once voted the sexiest in the world has a healthy appetite.

While many A-list actresses opt for a diet of cigarettes and lettuce leaves, Gillian Anderson keeps her figure trim with a no-nonsense approach to food.

The former X-Files star, in Belfast to film the movie The Mighty Celt, was spotted at Ta Tu on the Lisburn Road with writer and director Pearse Elliott.

Gillian tucked into crispy pork and dumplings, followed by pan-fried medallions of pork with crushed beans, grilled courgette and a red onion and red wine jus. The meal was washed down with a bottle of Fleurie and a G and T.

Gillian was pleasant and friendly as she chatted to staff and punters in the bar.

And if Pearse Elliott looked pleased with himself, he has every right to be. Not only has he landed the lovely Gillian for a role in his Belfast-based movie, but Robert Carlyle, star of Trainspotting and The Full Monty, is also onboard and was spotted in Ta Tu as well.
